All,
With Xmas over and New years fast approaching, I would like to share a scary personal experience about drinking and driving. As many of you have witnessed, I like to have an occasional beverage.
Earlier this week, I met a few old friends for a little holiday cheer that started with several cocktails, followed by some nice red wine, then a couple of shots, topped off with a few beers. something out of the ordinary really. As I walked out of the bar, I did something I've never done before - I took a cab home.

Sure enough on the way home there was a police road block, just blocks from my house. Had I taken my own car I undoubtedly would have had an enormous problem. But since I was in a cab, I was waived right through and made it home without incident. Amazing, right? This whole experience has been a first for me in several ways in that I had never driven a cab before, I don't even know where I got it and now that it's in my garage, I don't know what the hell to do with it.......Oh Well, have a safe and Happy New Year!.............RonC

Careful though,,, have come to realize there are a few thin-skinned ULTRA Sensitive and easily offended individuals here with narrow views on "acceptable" forms of humor who might just post a "Nasty" about your manner and demeanor. :AGGHH:
Even been known to snippily compliment the intellect of your posterior when they get hormonally raging and overly emotional. You know the type, THS (Twisted Huggie Syndrome) sufferers...
It's AWFUL :p

After many years of drinking and alot of close calls, I quit cold turkey on Dec 15, 1985.
I have never looked back.
Sure , I lost some friends but don't miss them as if they were true friends, they would have stuck with me.
If you drink, don't drive but that's up to you.

Hey Ron.. Glad you made it home via the Cab! Ummm... Just so you know, A bus will get you home after a few drinks also. But you do need a commercial licence to drive one. And a longer driveway.
