Did a search for this and didn't find answer I wanted. I have a 1/4" or more free play in throttle. Aggravating when wanting to finesse at slow speeds. The top cable has almost all of threads showing. I go any farther and I'm out of threads. Exactly where is the place by front forks where I've heard is the major adjustment point? Any help will be grateful. Thankyou

The short answer is in the red circle below. For a reference, the arrow is pointing to the lower triple-tree bearing and is taken from the left side of the bike.

If you need info on how to correctly inspect the cables prior to adjusting them, let me know.

I had to do the same adjustment on my trike. It can be a bear to get to, but it's doable. Keep small children away as they may pick up some adult vocabulary during the process! ;)
Drain the drool tube while you are at it. :)

Since I haven't drained the drool tube in 5 years.
I have full length running boards.
Does all the Tupperware have to come off??
Or can it be gotten at from under the bike??
I ask because I haven't tried yet.
Life was much easier with my 1500.

Happy and a Safe New Year to all ............
