It's beginning to sound like the internal combustion engine will soon end. Fords been talking about canceling the V8, and the UK is planning to ban petroleum and diesel cars and vans by 2040. The French are doing something similar, and Volvo is going to all electric or hybrid by 2019. I wonder what really clean air smells like ???

To me, riding a GoldWing and only hearing music and wind would be awesome !!! When I used to run WaveRunners on the Florida rivers, my most disappointing moments was when flocks of birds would take flight as I rounded a bend in the river. I so wanted an "electric ski" so my engine noise would not scare them off. I'd then be able to sit there and watch them. Maybe someday I will have that.

I hope the used market is well developed by the time it hits here or a horse will be my transportation.

My GF has an electric bicycle. She rides it to and from work 5 days a week. She absolutely loves it. It's extremely reliable with no gas or insurance. Up front it has a huge basket that can hold 60 lbs of whatever. The front basket is attached to the frame and not the handle bars. On the rear it has rack that she's attached soft storage bags to. It goes 20mph, and it's range is 25 miles. I think we paid about $2300 for it.

I read this to her, and she says "I never have to sit in traffic ... I just pass them all" :)
