Has anyone noticed a change in the SWR for their CB after triking. Mine looks like it went from less than 1.5 to 3 (ch 40) and 2.5 (ch 1)? Have not been able to test how well it is working yet.

I never thought about that but it doesn't surprise me. The ground-plane has to have different effects after conversion. Too late now (trike is already loaded in cargo trailer for trip to Eureka Springs) but I'll have to check it when we return.

Thanks for the heads up!!! :xszpv: :xszpv:

Well i just got through adjusting my SWR. I ended up trimming about 1.5 inches from the antenna to get the SWR less than 1.5 throughout all channels. I hope that means my Gl2way is better shielded and grounded now as a trike (it is now wrapped in foil also) because I barely had to trim the antenna before triking. I will report back once I use the CB.

Did you get a chance to check it yet?
