I was at a motorcycle awareness day today here in Casper, Wyoming, Hundreds of bikes in an annual parade.:Coffee:

I want to show you a home built steam punk custom a guy rode in on.

Check this out/

The gas cap was from an old tractor i think, The tank is cut and welded together from different tanks and made large to blend into frame.

Home made two up seat.

The oil tank sits on the ground, In fact it has air shocks that raise it off the ground when it runs, There is no kick stand, It just settles down and sits on the asphalt.

The gas gauge is a Carona beer bottle inserted upside down beside the tank to show level.

The headlight looks to be off some old car or coach lamp and a mirror is attached to it.

the front frame piece appears to be made from an old handyman jack

The whole front end is welded handyman Jack looking, made into a girder type with home made shock mounts etc.

the handle bars are made of welded primary chain.

And check out the huge brass front wheel?

The motor is a blacked out evo.

the foot boards are disc brakes cut in half.

The tail light is off an old auto.

The saddle bags are all made out of welded plate steel.

Home made latches, Copper plates on the side of bags.

He has let it rust to give it steampunk class.

Watching him and his lady ride it, It seems to handle quite well?

Definitely a hit with bystanders, Te old boy did a pretty nice job all in all!

Yup looks a little scary. But I think its a fake. That bottle won't show the fuel level or fill up without a vent at the top of the bottle. Of course it may have a tube inside that I can't see. I like it though.

That's a cool looking bike Paul, some ingenuity and skill in the build, thanks for sharing.
