Something to smile at

I grew up between Ohio and Indiana moving back and forth where ever dad could find work,so i grew up having lived in many a house with no indoor plumbing.I was in the 7th grade before i lived in a house with plumbing,so when i tell people that i grew up kinda dirt poor most folks cant relate.Unless you have had the experience of using the out house in either 90 degree weather or zero degree you just haven't lived lol.

I grew up using an outhouse until the day I joined the Navy after graduating high school. It got pretty freaking cold in the wintertime when you would wake up in the middle of the night and have to go. Get dressed run to the outhouse and have to brush the snow off the seat before you could sit down. When you build the building using green wood and as it dried out it left big cracks to let the wind, rain and snow in.

When my wife and I moved from Washington St. to Iowa in '95 to minister a church, the folks back home wanted to know if they were treating us well. I said "Sure are. They put new carpeting in the bathroom and we liked it so much, they ran it all the way up to the house:pepper:"

And most important.....The Salt Block next to the out house so the critters will leave the wood frame alone won't chew on it for the salt...:D....
