Some help for a disabled vet, please?

Hi folks,I'm Becky from upstate NY. A bunch of us are trying to build a sidecar rig for a local disabled vet and his wife. They used to ride a Ural rig, but it was stolen recently, or at least they tried to steal it. They ran down the road pushing it, but the one holding the clutch lever in tripped, let go of it, and the bike screeched to a halt, which bent the crank! Needless to say, they were heartbroken. They used it for local riding, and he delivered meals on wheels with it cuz people loved to come out and sit on it for pics. He also drove vets around to appointments n stuff. We found an old 97 goldwing to replace the bike, but we're not having any luck with a sidecar. Can you help us, please? Used, scratched, damaged, even if it's just a frame and wheel. My bf is a mechanic, so we can make it work I'm sure. Plus, Donny knows how to setup a sidecar correctly. Thanks!BG

Hi Becky! Welcome to Trike Talk! Sounds like a good cause. I am sure some of the knowledgeable sidecar members will jump in to help with your endeavors.

Well, God bless you all for such a warm welcome!! I really didn't expect this.

There's a bunch of us with our heads together trying to find something for them. They're the sweetest people you could ever know. I saw them at the mall one day with 7 kids, (and their parents), all lined up waiting their turn to sit on the rig for pictures.

I'll make a post over there, and thanks!

Becky
