Does anyone have recommendations for slip-ons for the M8-17 Tri Glide?

I had Rinehart's on my 15 FLHTK, but I am leaning towards Cobra for the trike.

Any opinon's/experience with the 17 Glide yet, as far as slip-on exhaust?

Why not just knock out the centers of the baffles for now? Start with a long screw driver, progress to a long tapered punch. I think you will like the sound, have some one hold the mufflers while you pound so they dont slip in the hangars, I have done this to my 14 and my 17 and I like it. I have a spare set of unmolested mufflers for a 14 if any one wants to buy them cheap

I am running the SE street cannons on my 17 and i like them just quite enough while cruising but have a nice deep tone when hitting the throttle. HD is saying that if you use any muffler other than a street legal SE they can void your warranty,so i would check with your dealer just to make sure.I had these on my 16 Tri so why spend more money.

Screaming Eagle catalogue has tunable mufflers called nightsticks. White Brothers built a good name with these and also Suppertraps. Harley must have recognized the benefits of being able to tune your muffler performance to your build.
Foe those that don't know, these mufflers come with several discs which can be used all or less depending on where you want your power. If I am right it is all the discs for more Hp or less discs to increase TQ. Correct me if I am wrong. I love the sound. I removed the packing also but that might void the warranty. Don't know.

I have uses these in my last 4 bikes with good results and sound.

Harley cannot void your warranty unless the damage is caused by the mufflers, The EPA police are hitting HD hard
H D does not stand behind any alterations to the head pipes even tho they sell Vance and Hines, be careful not to get caught up in the mis info out there ask questions before you buy JMO and remember HD paid a huge fine to TTS for copy rights over their SE race tuner HMMMMMM

It might be more effective to locate a nice pair of used pipes at a swap meet and 'doctor' those in case the results aren't what you like. Then you'll always have your expensive stock pipe still intact, especially if the EPA ever starts gettin nosy. Besides, loud ain't deep. And it's deep that's cool, not loud. Loud is for rookies.
