It's official - see cert below - Saddle Sore 1000 completed on my Roadsmith on 11/17/14. Some problems on trip, but an accomplishment I've wanted to do for quite some years.

Slightly off topic, had an enjoyable ride 1/1/15 starting Charlotte Hall, MD with a great group of guys. Clocked 250 miles. Started cool (see photo below) at 21 deg. F Thanks to Dan for an exciting trip.

Have a safe New Year!!

Congrats!!!! My butt may have lost some of it's iron. It's been a while since I did that much in one setting. I did close to 700 miles last summer in one day so I guess it's still in me.

We missed our New Years Day ride this year. It's the first time in 15 years I've missed.... Too much ice and sleet on the roads to even think about riding here until today. When the streets dry off some I'm getting in the saddle!! :xszpv::xszpv:

Congratulations on the ss 1000. I have thought of riding on 1/1/15 but way too much snow and salty roads here. Oh well, we gave up hurricanes so that's our cost!

Congrat!! Bayou Dave and I just got an email saying ours was certified and we should be seeing some docs over the next few weeks.

Congrats on your Saddle Sore 1000! Any suggestions for those of us that want to do this in the coming months?

Sounds a little corny but start now. If you are not use to riding all day doing a SS1000 will be a lot harder then you think.:xszpv::xszpv:

Also, go to ironbutt.com and read their suggestions. I found them very helpful.
