Wife and I are in mid 60's and Newbies to motorcycles. We have bought a 2016 Harley Tri glide about a year ago......Have put about 14K miles on this great machine....love to ride! Discovered this website and have gone to it many times to read other owners advice. Went riding in Fredericksburg, Tx. last week during Octoberfest...... Met another Trike rider couple from Iowa who told that they had come to Kerrville Tx. for a group ride the same time. Wished I had known about it so we could have joined......always looking for other trikers but just cant find them or where they hang. Home is Red Oak Texas. (just outside Waxahachie way)........Hoped this site could enlighten me.

welcome to Trike Talk from East Tx. yes you have found the best trike forum on the net.

brand of trike makes not difference, we have gatherings not rally's . we ride, eat & visit. for info on gatherings just read the forum, they will be posted .

PS we had a gathering in Kerrville early Oct.

Thanks for the friendly welcome guys!

....I don't see any trike gatherings scheduled for the rest of this year.....guess the season has passed...........But I plan to make some NEXT year!

.......I ride 2 up with the wife much of the time.......seems like we are "Lone Riders" with this trike except for occasional "accidental gas pump meeting" with another unknown triker.

...am recently retired and decided I was tired of sitting around the house every day......Told the wife "We're gonna get a motorcycle!" (I've never owned or drove one b4) She informed me that she wouldn't even consider riding with me unless "the damn thang had 3 wheels!" ...I said "OK!- and bought the Triglide "

....That was August 2016.......and so, here we are 1 yr later having an absolute "BLAST!" (except when those hot Texas days are just too much for her)

....have thought about getting a 2 wheeler (maybe a street glide), but I just cant quit having fun on this TriGlide long enough to get serious about it! (yes, wife still says she won't ride without a third wheel)

............anyway, Triglide'ing is what I'll be doin' it seems.......But I have noticed a little "Snobbery with some (not all) of the many 2 wheelers out there. "Be nice to be around others with trikes!
