I know the ABS is disabled but are the linked brakes on a Goldwing are disabled when converted to a Roadsmith trike.
True or false?

Okay, so I am going to make a switch to a Roadsmith in the near future, so I am interested here. How does that affect the braking practice when stopping. Still rear brake first and then adding front braking?

Right, what rich confirmed. RS recommends rear first, then front as backup, RS says 80% rear, 20% front if you can convert to feel.

Well on my 03 trike ,I'm not using the rear as much as the front. My rear brakes feels like there is air in the lines, they have been bleed, fluid was replaced and bleed again. Still spongy, so I'm going up to Roadsmith factory the day before the wing ding ,(open house) and see what they say or can help me with it. Now I feel that the front is 80% and rears 20% . Would like better stopping power in the rear as we are going to pull a Bunkhouse trailer . I know I'll have to leave more room when pulling, but I still need to allow more for the stupid cage drivers.

Can you post what RoadSmith does for you? Seems the rear brake question has been raised here several times.

Call Roadsmith and talk to Taylor Young and get a set of their New EBC Yellow Stuff brake pads, change the pads and you will reverse the 80% to the rear and use the front as the backup, I still need a little more break-in time but its really easy to squeal the rears anytime now.... what an improvement... remember to scuff up your rotors so they will seat faster!!
