Anybody know whether the OEM front pads are Sintered, Metallic, Semi-Metallic, Etc - I plan on using EBC pads and need to know what's best to use so as not to grind up the discs.

I have a Road Star as well as my GL1800 Roadsmith. If and when I need R* info I go here http://roadstarclinic.com/ you might check it out.
Sintered will work great. used they on my VOl and now on my honda.
