Reverse trike rear wheel

Hi all I am interested in building a reverse trike similar to the AMT3. I have a load of yamaha xs1100 parts. The question is how do people go about adapting a motorcycle rear end to take a larger wheel. Making a wider swing arm isn't a problem just how do I adapt a wheel.

Any advice welcome.
