I would like to quiet my ride down a bit and to me it seems that the trunk traps and reverberates the exhaust sound. Has anyone tried using dynamat or something similar to deaden the sound?

Thanks for any ideas.

The trunks on both my Tri's had a heavy felt liner....And i never notice /heard any reverberations....But i have a tin ear...What kind of exhaust do you have..

I have a decatted stock headpipe with stock slipons. My thought is that the cavity between the trunk and seat act as a sound chamber. I am thinking about ways to isolate that area.

Fill the trunk with coats or blankets and go for a ride, then empty trunk fill tour pack check again or fill both and see if sound goes away. At least then you will know what needs done. just trying to help :Shrug:travel safe Fred
