Well got my new boom high performance speakers and putting them in my self. Rear, piece of cake but wow the front speakers are a bear. Just to get the housing out that the speakers set in is a pain in the butt. Still working on it. There are three lower screws that are in a very close area. Going to try again to day. If I can't get the speakers in, then going to button it up and take it to the harley dealer unless you guys might have an idea how to do it. Yes I know get a manual but replacing speakers should be very easy.

Well from my mechanic days I figured it out. You dismantle everything. Radio, inter fairing, running lights, etc. A lot easier. Now at my age try to figure out how it goes back together or I should say remember how it goes back together. LOL LOL But the speakers are in and now to button it up.

I replaced the speakers and installed the amp myself on my last 2 bikes. After seeing the new 2014's - I was glad to pay the dealer to do it this time and let them have the headaches. And if something goes wrong - it's covered.
For me the putting the wire loom for the rear speakers in the trough was a bitch. Removing the tank was the easy part.

I use to be a cheap SOB until I started to get monthly SS checks. Now everything is easy to do - just pay the piper and sit back and relax with a cool one. I'm done trying to get 10 lbs into 5 lb bag. :D

Got it back together with out having a nut or screw left behind:) When you open the fairing area, it looks pretty intimidating but once I got started putting it back together, it all fell back into place with out a hitch. In dismantling, I found a few screws with out any locktight on them at all, so doing this my self, everything got a little dab of locktight. And the new speakers sound great.ThumbUp
