I was rear ended yesterday by another bike and the fiberglass fender and trunk was badly cracked. Does anyone know where I can get it fixed. I live in central New Jersey. Thank you.

HELLO what fender do you need I have a couple of them there in good condition , will need to be painted to match your bike ,look on ebay for a used trunk .

Where does your dealer have their stuff repaired??? What about your insurance company. Where do they want you to sent it???

I have a 2012 Tri-Glide. When a coyote hit me at 70 miles an hour, it also tore up the left rear fender. Sure looked like fiberglass to me.

I just went and bought a new factory painted one. Threw the damaged one away.

Later, eighty80.

They're either polypropylene or polyethylene, I believe. But don't quote me on that, or bet money on it, or take it seriously, think it's true, or correct, or believable, or accurate, reliable, trustworthy, appropriate, or dependable. I'm usually right. I remember this time back in '78 when I thought I might have been wrong but it turned out I was only mistaken. So I can't ever be too sure.

JB Weld makes a "plastic bonder" (comes in a yellow package) that will hold like you wouldn't believe. Have the piece(s) in the position you want before it hardens cuz you're not going to change it once it's hard! And it hardens in just a couple minutes. Sand, grind, cut, drill, etc ya can't break it loose. Just rough the surface of the material you're going to attach the piece to, clean sanding dust off, mix glue parts together (it's real easy) and join parts together. And if you didn't get the parts laid out perfectly smooth, mix up a little more bonder and spread it across the side you want to smooth, let it harden, just like bondo, then sand it down.
