Reading A Stick Type Tread Depth Gauge.

I've never found a straight answer to this. How do you correctly interpret the readings on a stick type tire tread depth gauge? Can anyone tell me what the gauge in the pictures are reading?

I would call that 4/32

4/32 did you know you can use the gauge for measuring brake pad thickness also
