rated load on larger front tires

I want to build a trike with a 97 electraglide. I also want to boot the front end out farther. a 8 degree rake over stock is desired. I understand this requires a 21 inch or larger front wheel. I just read an article posted about 2 years ago about front tire load. A bagger stock tires is reportedly rated about 467 lbs load at 40 lbs pressure. The 21 inch tires available at that time are rated about 40 percent less. Are there any front tires rated for baggers and trikes with larger front wheels.

The higher load rated tires used on the front of trikes are usually the same size rear tires mounted on the front.Since there are no rear wheels in a 21 inch diameter you have to go with what you can get in front tire load ratings.

Now pardon my ignorance but why do you feel you have to put a 21" on the front because of the rake? Back in the 60's and 70's when we were building choppers with big rakes and long front ends we put 21" wheels on them because they looked cool.We did run the stock wheels until we could get the loner spokes and bigger hoops. I don't remember any handling problems other then those inherent to a 2 wheeler with a long front end and big rake.
