Has anybody had problems with radio reception(fading stations/poor reception)?? If so, what have you done to improve the problem??:xzqxz:

I haven't had a problem with poor radio reception. But I do keep it turned off so I'm not bothered by all the noise. I do the same with my pickup.

I've ridden GL1800s since they came out in 2001. None of them have "GOOD" radio reception! Honda missed the boat on this one for sure. I keep hoping they update but no cigar.

Sure glad I use digital audio......

If you have worse then usual reception I'd start be checking for loose grounds.

On my 02 GL1800, My radio reception can fade in and out, notice it when on highway, passing the big trucks, sometimes also seems to fade around over/underpasses. I just deal with it, its short lived when it does happen. Don't think its ever occurred on secondary roads.

I've been fortunate enough to own several Wings and never had any problems with the radios. I don't listen to AM or FM anymore since there are very few stations that program for us older guys and the Ipod does it for me, but I always found reception to be great. Part of the issue might be where the rider lives and how close to the stations but when I rode out West and stations were few and far between I never had issues with stations fading unless the distance increased.
