My radio and cb radios have lots of static on them both, that's all. The intercom works good. Anyone have any ideas on what happened? Thank you.

First thought would be to check the antennas. Make sure AM/FM radio is plugged into back of radio and then check in trunk under the floor panel and make sure CB antenna is plugged in to the module.

I was also just thinking. If the antenna on the CB is plugged in, you may just have to turn up the squelch on the left handlebar until static is gone. In city environments, it's not unusual to have to turn squelch up to 9 or 10.

The three objects in the lower right of this picture are inline CB radio static noise filters. They can be found on Sierra Electronics site, through Honda or sometimes on eBay.

there is also a filter capacitor on the alternator of some models and if it fails it makes all the electronics noisy

I know the GL1500 had the filter for the alternator but it wasn't necessary for the GL1800's. The filters for the GL1800 were 1 for each radiator fan and 3rd was for the fuel pump.
