I have an 05 Goldwing with original Windshield. Has anyone ever put Rain X on theirs? Will it ruin it or help it? Use Rain X on both cars and I like it, but that is on glass.

Don't use it on Lexan as it will permanently "cloud" it!
Not sure what material your shield is made of, but I wouldn't chance using it.
Regular car wax will repel water from the shield, & is what I use.

Rain-X now has a product for plastic. Used it on my Long Ride shield and works great. Also put on my visor.

The Rain-X for Plastic is good stuff. I used it on my original shield, still use it on my helmet's face shield.

I put a Clear-View shield on the trike and use regular Rain-X on it. Seems to work a little better, but I've been known to slip up & use the plastic formula on it... still works good.

I don't know about the new Rain-X, I haven't used it in years... But when i was using it on car windshields after a while of use it would leave a build up a wax type stuff' And the wipers would then skip across the windshield and streak them........
As far as bike shields i just use Honda Spray Wax.... Or as its called now Original spray wax and cleaner...

I have noticed that after a while it does build up on the cars and I use alcohol to remove it. Also careful to not get any on the paint as it can remove the wax.
