Preload Setting

I have searched for this but don't seem to come up with anything.

Is the preload setting of the Gl1800 rear shock of any use once the CSC trike kit has been added.
One shop that installs CSC kits said it would make no difference.

I have a 2012 Honda Goldwing Trike(CSC - Viper) and have not noticed any difference with the pre-load adjustment. Driving on rough roads (interstate and local highways) seems to negate any adjustment you make.
