Powered sub

Has anyone installed one of the powered subs that go under the seat of a car or truck in their tri glide? Looking to add a little more bass to mine

Short answer is yes, a lot or guys are running amps in their bikes. Most mount them in the fairing above the radio. The stock speakers are 2 ohm so the amp would have to match.

Maybe just look for a used Boom amp?

I'm not a radio expert but to put a powered sub in your trike, you will need speakers also to handle the sub. harley stock speakers are crap and if you put a amp in you will blow those speakers in no time at all, I thought I would give my opinion, hopefully you know a powered sub won't handle stock speakers. Every body that does this also replaces speakers to handle the sub

All for now Trampas

P.S Don't buy the harley boom amp and speakers they are junk go with after market, shop around for the best

I saw a Tri with bass speakers cut into the cargo space and mounted where the flat spot is by the passenger legs (there is a storage pouch made for mounting there on both sides. The cargo box resonates the bass.

Bass tones are basically lost going down the road, so I will not add them to my Tri.
