popup camper

We have a Bunkhouse, and really like it. We will have it at the Rally In The Valley this year.
Since we got ours in '02 there have been some improvements, but ours is in great shape and works for us. Some others in our camp group at the Davis Rally have gotten Bunkhouses, some have gotten Aspens. They are close to the same with differing details. Both are good campers.

At the Davis Rally the most prevalent camper overall is the Bunkhouse (6 in our camp last Sept), followed by the Aspen (3 in our camp) then Timeout (2 with us) with other brands like Combi Kamp, LeesureLite and such here and there.

Picking a camper is a lot like picking a trike - check out as many as you can and you'll find a good one for you. Used ones in almost new condition can easily be found for a lot less than new.

Hi,
We now have our second Schooter Schooner, we just sold our Shur Kamp to buy this one. The Shur Kamp was a little large to pull for us, being about 12" wider the the HD Elecrta glide classic we had before our trike. The first Scooter Schooner we pulled over 10000 miles without any issues except normal maintenance. It is a very well thought out camper and pulls great! We like them all so just figure out what your looking for and enjoy!

That Solace looks to be a clone of the Timeout.

Time Out Trailers Inc

2 of the group we camp with at the Davis Rally have Timeouts. They like them, both the bed and the living/changing area are off the ground. They do take longer to set up vs the Aspen or Bunkhouse (no experience with anything else) and the cargo space is also your living space. As the tent has to be pulled over the living/bed space it gets a bit wet if setting up in the rain.

We had an older model, was an umbrella tent on a platform, wasn't attached like the current models are. It was well made and I liked being off the ground. Again, cargo had to be set aside while setting up. She Who Must Be Obeyed decided we were getting a new camper after setting up in a thunderstorm. All our stuff got wet, sleeping bags didn't dry out for the whole weekend.
