How do you park a trike on the side of the road? Do you still angle it outwards like a two wheel motorcycle, or do the parallel thing along the curb like a car?? btw, my bike is in the shop getting it's big makeover. Hope to get "the call" soon that it's finished and ready to be picked up! It's so hard to wait!!!

I park it like it was a car, Been doing it that way since i started riding trikes over 4 years ago.

I Back in
I got boxed in once by two cages and it was not fun. I think they figured I was not using all of it. It was not easy squeezing a 9 foot trike out of a 10 foot spot .
I back in

I don't have a reverse, park where there are 2 empty drive in on one, make sharp turn facing out on the other. It is easy.

Look for an uphill parking slot so I don't have to use reverse or park it so you can drive forward and out.
Or pull up and use reverse to park in a slot, cages don't like it because it takes to long to back up, but hey, life isn't always a bowl of cream!
Take life slow, because if you hurry, you may be laying down for longer than you really wanted to. Once you are looking at the grass roots, that's forever!

I still pretty much park at an angle for the mere fact that everyone we ride with has two wheels. Sometimes i do parallel park too, depends how big of a group we have.

So far 100% of the time I diagonal park as wimoonshiner said. I don't ever recall parallel parking at any time when I was out alone. I'm sure if I did find a spot in the city I would still back in diagonally.

I do NOT have reverse so I try to find a spot that allows me to "pull thru" so I don't have to get off the trike and push it into a slot. (Kinda embarrassing!!!) Or, I will parallel park if there is room.

I park as if I were still on two wheels, although I do have a reverse.BTW if you have a reverse Honda advises not to use it as a parking brake. I leave mine in 1st gear.

Sounds like the majority parks at an angle. I probably will too. Like you wimoomshiner, I'm usually with a bunch of other motorcycles on two wheels. Might as well keep parking it like I did on two also.

I went to Wally World and bought a set of chocks for $6 and if see where there is a chance of the trike rolling, I will take them out and put them so as to box one wheel in so it doesn't go forward or rearward. Peace of mind is a great thing!
In town, I parallel park when possible, I drive in and back up to sit in the middle of the space, giving cages plenty of room to do their thing.
When traveling in a large group, well that's another story to find space enough for everybody, as some parking garages will not allow bikes or trikes in to park, DUH! Our money is as good as the cages and we don't take as much room, but hey, rules are rules!
Large groups, you have to plan ahead to get parking for all, right Jonesy, that's why the Tour Masters get paid the BIG BUCKS! :D
