I've been looking online and can't seem to find any. Decorative wall maps yes but I want the old fashioned folding map. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The maps I'm looking for are orange county ny and sussex county nj. Those would be street maps. Thanks

Have you tried AAA, They probably still have them, Most of there members are still in the stone age, A few years ago i got some from them...:D I keep a couple of them in my trunk,Why? sentimental reasons i guess....

Town tourist centers , or chamber of commerce Use to Cary them  and city halls .

State Welcome Centers usually have paper highway maps, but they are most likely of the entire state. sometimes towns or counties have a tourist info center, if they have a web presence they may be able to be ordered from there.

Go on line to Google Maps, search for what city's you want and just print your own.

These areas are very rural. They aren't cities. I did try printing it, but you have to zoom in to far to see the road names, then the map is so small an area its useless. If you zoom out so you can see the area then no road names. There are no highway welcome centers. I do appreciate the help. Its just one of those things that seems to have been replaced by electronic gadgetry. My brothers got a smart phone and we tried that. Kinda funny, trying to read that map is like trying to read your palm.

I'll try the chamber commerce, I've found an address for each. nearest barnes and noble 35 mi. So its not somwhere I would just pop in to check it out. But I may ride out this weekend. Again thanks for the help.

Theres one in Ledgewood at the junction of Rt 10 and Rt 46...Roxbury....

Well at 30 mi its closer but thats a miserable ride in that area. Think I'll go to newburgh. Probably find one somewhere I'm sure. Funny years ago they were all over. Just walk into the foyer of any diner and they had racks of them. I think the last one I got was an advertisement for a christmas tree farm so you could find the place.

I also luv paper maps, I don't trust the GPS system. Walmart here in Boonville Mo. has Missouri maps, or at least they did have them. I just bought a road atlas. I am old fashion when it comes to maps.:clapping:

If the smart phone is too small, try using a tablet for your map reading. A lot of times, you can download local maps to use off line.

I'm gonna check walmart for that atlas. Maybe I can just cut out the page I need. I want this for my bicycle rides. I usually ride to meet my wife at her work then load the bike up and head home together. Its 19 to 21 miles depending which way I go. I'd like to add some miles to that.
