PA New Triker

Hey all!

I'm a new Triker. Been riding for 40 years but sold my '05 Harley Road King 3 years ago. Too many close calls. Started feeling vulnerable on two wheels. Last straw was being run off the road by a PA State Trooper. I kid you not. That's a different story but here we are 3 yrs later and I just miss riding too much. Wife however refuses to get on two wheels again so Trike it is! Picked up a pretty 2005 GL 1800 with 24k miles and a 2014 Motor Trike Adventure conversion. Man it's so different than two wheels but at the ripe old age of 60 I'm liking it! As is the wife. Odd thing. I have no issues making right turns but labor a bit making left turns. I just feel the centrifugal force more. Gotta get used to that I guess. I'll just take those left turns slower for now! Lol. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to many years of riding again. Three years is three years too long. It's great to meet you all.

Terry, left turns seem to be tougher for me also, I think that with the throttle being on the right that I am not able to keep a steady even push needed for a smooth left turn. I also ride Motortrike Goldwing conversion, after a year and a half I am gaining confidence on the twisties but the right turns still seem easier than the lefts.

welcome to trike talk, you will love the forum, a grate bunch of people men and women.

We all had to adjust to 3 wheels, some picked up faster then other. you will find it much more fun the better you get. again welcome from East Texas
