My husband was putting our bikes away for the season, and our grandchildren were visiting at the time. They know all about Nana and Papa's motorcycles and how we go for long rides out to see them. Our 4 year old grandson walked out to the back garage with 'Papa', and upon seeing my newly converted Road King, he exclaimed, "Hey!,,,,Papa, why does Nana have training wheels on her motorcycle?"!!! My husband started to chuckle, and before he could respond, our grandson brightned, and said, 'Can I have a ride on it'?!!! So my husband put our two grandsons on the back passenger seat and gave them a ride up to the front garage. I spotted them as I passed the kitchen window and they both had the biggest grins on their faces. I guess my 'tricycle' was a hit!!!

That very neet story, love those grandchildren stories.
We have six and we hear them from their parents and experience them ourselves quite often.

My brother asked me the other day what might be a good age to take his son out for a ride (my nephew is 2). I told him maybe around 5 if he seems like he will behave....and if my sis-in-law gives her blessing! At 1 I got him a "Harley" to push around on. At 2 I got him his first trike. Yes, the pedel variety. He has the cutiest helmet. Black with Sock Monkey skulls on it.

My daughter called me last weekend and had to tell me a little story about one of my grandsons. They had gone to a Christmas parade in Boise and as the parade was coming by they heard motorcycles. She said that some 2 wheeled bikes came by and then a couple trikes. My youngest grandson, age 2, hollered out "Papa"! Then he said it again and was wondering where Papa was because he saw trikes. Daughter tried to explain to him that Papa was home in ND 1200 miles away. He was disappointed that Papa wasn't there with his trike. Grandkids, gotta Love Them!
