Oil Issues

My buddy is having an issue on his 2017 Triglide with oil being transferred from tranny to clutch and the tranny is running dry. Had it happened before and Harley replaced seal at end of main shaft. Didn't cure the problem. Others have had the same issue. Harley wants to just replace the seal again. Has anyone else had this issue and how was it resolved. Was it resolved satisfactorily?

Very common, I Just had my 5k oil change, And while i was there they had two others with that problem..And they suspect my 2017 is doing it also, Once i get to another thousand miles on it they want me to being it in, To drain the oil and measure it...

Do a search here on it ,Its been mentioned on a few treads...Motorcycle Consumer News Magazine has a short answer to a letter on Page 5 The May 2018 edition..

P/S....According to my guy [wink-wink] there is no fix, and their at a loss as to why its happing..But you didn't hear that from me...!

This is an ongoing problem with the Hydraulic clutch models in particular

As far as I know there is NOT a solid fix yet by the MOCO

IMO it will cost them TOO much to recall all these bikes

There's a guy over on the HD Forum that has come up with a fix and will be marketing a kit very soon.Surprising that a little guy can find a solution but the high priced engineers on Juneau Ave can't?(wont?)I think the guys handle is Cold..something or other.
