Called about a 08' GW that has a MT conversion with solid axle. Seller stated that he bought it new with it installed already. What surprised me was he said MT did not make a IRS kit until 09'. Any truth to this?
2nd question, did the older CSC rearends as in 08-10' years prone to failure? Called about an 04' CSC GW that owner said he bought used from dealer in 09' with 31k miles. At 40k miles the rear end went out. Took to a Louisville KY. trike dealer which installed new rear end from CSC @ cost of $3200. The new rear end only has 400 miles on it and he said looks nothing like old one. Both were IRS. Was there big improvements in design with CSC rear ends?
