New to Forum, question?

Bought a 2003 Suzuki VL800 w/Lehman trike conversion. Want to put on highway bar/engine guard. The person I bought it from had an engine guard he bought but never put on. Guess what it will not work with the steering damper on. Anyone know of one that will work with the steering damper?

Hi Rick...welcome to TrikeTalk. You have come to the right place for questions and answers.I may be misunderstanding here but I want to clarify the meaning of your words "engine guard". Are these the same as "crash bars" which protect the 2-wheel bike in a tip over?

If so I'm not sure why you would need them on a trike unless you just like the look of them. Hopefully someone can chime in with some words of wisdom for both of us. Good question.

Engine guards... crash bars. Same thing. I have them on my trike. They were on there when it was a two- wheeler. My highway pegs are mounted on them and wouldn't be without my highway pegs to give me different foot positions while riding.
