NEW Slipons

Hi, i just bought a pair of vance and hines slipons for my 2011 triglide. i dont need to change anything other then the slipons right? ive read talk about how much inprovement everyone gets by changing out the whole exaust but my funds arent there and was hoping to increase abit of the rumblying and also increase abit more horse power, am i doint the right thing? thanks, steve

I did V&H slip-ons on my 2010 for a while, made a pretty good difference, later on I added the V&H Power duals and used my slip-ons. IMHO you don't have to do it all at once.

Thank You,, i was hoping just adding the slipons it would help with the horse power, also now have to decide whether i should add those rear shock lifts brackets everyone is talking about,, dont want to bend the ends of the slipons , I guess i lean torward leave well enough alone. especialy with soemthing like that. ya i guess i worry too much about putting soemthing on that isnt patented yet and end up haveing a break down or acccident.. But thats me i gueesss. thansk again, steve

I wouldn't worry about the lift brackets from tglidestuff.com failing, I have a set on my 2010 and they are built quite well.

I put the V&H slip ons on my bike. Then the lower half got bent hitting bottom. Put the lift kit on to keep from banging them anymore.

Thanks for ALL your input, but the only other question i got is seeing i have a year left on my warranty, will that play any factor if i install those lifter? anotherwords will that make my warrant null and void? Thank Again, steve

I had the local HD dealer install the lift brackets on my '09 TG...the 4th person to have installed. Will not void your warranty. In addition, I put on V&H slip-ons quite awhile ago, but had my dealer do the air cleaner (K&N) and download, just because I'm on warranty (at that time) and extended warranty now.
I will tell you the lift brackets make a world of difference in handling...well worth it.

No reason they would, I put the lift on right after i bought the T/G .
Not only does it look better and stops the scrapping of the pipes, another benefit is they lighten the steering effort. Do it you won't regret it.ThumbUp

If you have 4" mufflers, you definitely need the lift brackets or you'll end up scraping them. And as mentioned earlier, the lift brackets will improve the control and overall stance of the bike.

Thanks Everyone!
i am sold! going to order them first thing tomorrow..
seeing i have the trike tore apart to have it painted two tone it should be much easier now then after i have it put back together.. Thanks Again Everyone, steve
Ride safe!
