New question Road glide /Pingle shifter

Any problems with compensater?
They say mine is bad because of pingle shifter.
Any thoughts on the subject?

Can I say their full of Sh#t!, Harley has had compensator problems since they changed the design starting with the 06 Dyna's. The Screamin Eagle compensator has been a failure issue for quite some time. There are guys who have gotten as little as 5,000 miles before the SE comp. fails. My dad had to have his replaced at 30,000 miles, mine in the 2010 Triglide I had was bad at 22,000 miles. If the compensator was so robust HD wouldn't be on their 3rd or 4th try of getting it right. With the 2014 MY they came out with yet another change with the compensator their installing.

My thoughts exactly. The fights on today I told them yesterday I'm done with all this crap maybe Honda f6b is in my future

Well apparently he talked to pingle and they are sending something that will slow the shiftingdown a bit .
AApparently there's a new improved compensater that they are getting for warranty so should cost about 50 buck's or so .
I can't wait to see that.

My Compensator went out at 28K...Then again at 30K due to some possible shady stuff from a dealer in California while on a long trip... I have a thread on here somewhere about my troubles with it. But I had no problems getting things resolved...they were both replaced under warranty...The newest one is the latest re-designed and improved SE. No problems yet..almost 33K.. !!! Yay!!! 3,000 miles without crapping out!!!

If they are putting the new '14 unit in be sure they don't short change ya ! Be sure they put in the oil mod or replace the case cover with the oilier built in & not glued in.
All depends which one they go to.

:Agree: They need to do the complete job, this is J05674 which is the installation instructions. This is M1352 which is a service bulletin outlining the changes.

After the Pringle I had back in 2008 failed on me twice, I designed my own right foot shifter.

The updated compensator is still being evaluated and I'm waiting for some more mileage feedback

I probably shouldnt say this but my pingle has 100k obit and I'm tickled to death with it.
I had it in the valk, the rune and now the hd I love it

Electronic shifter for amputees or people with limited mobility with their right leg or foot. Klinktronics also makes them. Helped a buddy install his 'Klink'. Never saw anyone so happy to be 'mobile' again.
