Hi all , I live in north Florida. I have had bikes since I was 15 I am now 63. I live on a dirt road that gets really nasty at times. I had a roadking, but ended getting rid of it because it was just too much bike for the conditions. I want to build a V8 trike. The engine is a small block 400 backed with a turbo 400. I would like to talk to others who have built their trikes from scratch. I have some questions about raking and other frame issues. I believe I am going to really enjoy this site. I am going to check out all the forums there is a lot of knowledge within this group.

Thanks all<br />

Hello Jack and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. There's several people who have built their own trikes on this site, anywhere from rear engine VW on up. Good luck, take lots of pictures, we love to see work in progress.

My insurance wouldn't have anything to do with a scratch built trike!

Welcome from Southern Indiana Jack!

I would double check on building from scratch. I've heard there are some difficulties with trikes built in that manor with some states.

If the build it cool, do take pictures as you put it together! We love watching trikes built from scratch.ThumbUp
