Hey All,

So, I am soon to be proud owner of a Yamaha Roadliner Midnight with a CSC trike kit. I used to ride 2 wheeled motorcycles but gave up riding about 15 years ago for a variety of reasons one of them being that riding used to kill my back, was in a lot of pain for days after a long ride, etc. I have missed riding for the last 15 years and decided to try a trike to see if it would be better on my back as I think trikes would be more stable, etc. We'll see.....

My trike is not ready yet and I hope to get it sometime in the last few days of May.

Later,

Hi DY, welcome to the site! I think you'll find the trike a lot more comfortable, and easy on your back. And of course, if you have any problems the other members will be more than happy to help you find a way to fix it! :)

Welcome and best wishes for the new trike. Sounds like you'll be rockin'-and-rollin' in time for the NE Trike Rally in mid August in southern Vermont. Check it out... (HERE)

Hello DYLiner and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I know exactly what you are talking about, I was involved in a nasty car/motorcycle accident in 2002 where a car crossed the center line and hit me head on. Which is why I also ride a trike now, but there are several different seats and backrests available that make a world of a difference in riding comfort. Some do have drawbacks, such as mine. Whenever I ride 2 up I have to remove it due to lack of leg room. But the majority of the time I am riding 1 up so no problem. You may have to try several different styles to find the one that works for you. Good luck, welcome back to riding. Ride safe.

Welcome DYLiner and greetings from LI. Hope you make the NE Trike Talk rally in mid-August. Just a hop skip and jump on Rt. 9 for you.

I ride a Stratoliner with CSC conversion and love it! I think you will be well pleased with your trike! Be sure to consider a reverse and parking brake with your conversion.<br />
Welcome to TT, post pictures, ride safe and post often!

Welcome to Trike Talk from SE Missouri. Alot of us here are on trike because of medical reason for one problem or another. Just enjoy being able to ride and have fun.

Welcome to TT from your Texas fellow members. You sure live in a beautiful part of our country. I was station up that way many years ago when in the USAF. My bride and I loved to ride the back country roads.

There is a gob of experience here and our members are always willing to share. We hope you also pass on your stories and knowledge. TrikeTalk is by far the best trike focused bulletin board and you’ll find the members and admin folks the friendliest there are. When you get settled in, check out Trike Owners International, T.O.I., you may find it a good fit. Again, WELCOME !!!
