New from Pittsburgh

This past May, I took the plunge and bought a 2006 GL1800 with a Lehman conversion kit from a lovely lady in West Virginia. I hadn't been on a bike of any sort since 1984, so it only made sense that my first ride would be a 250 mile straight shot to Pittsburgh. After surviving the first 30 miles while trying to remember how to shift, I really started to enjoy the ride and have been having a blast ever since. I was even able to convince my wife to ride with me and even though she is not interested in driving it, she now loves to ride. Now if we can just get rid of this stinkin snow so I can get back out!

Hello Sharkie and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. Congratulations on your new ride and convincing the better half to copilot. Lots of information on this site, hope we can help if you need it. I am in the same boat as you, I have 5 foot snow banks in front of my house, this is supposed to be spring!

Welcome - glad you found us! My wife had a m/c license for years but in recent times didn't "use it" as she mostly rode 2-up with me on my (then) 2 wheel 1500. Our friend was selling a trike a few years back, so we put her on it to try it out. Haven't got her off it since... Great your back "on the road" - have fun, post often, ride safe. :wave4:

Welcome Sharkie. I pass by that area enough on business. Sometimes riding, sometimes flying. That stinkin' snow will be gone before you know it.
