House Judiciary Committee to hear National Reciprocity H.R. 38. It give's us the right to carry in every state. Just like a driver's license. It is time for pro-gun rights to remind our Representatives what we expect. Call your Representative and let them know we want this legislation to pass.

The bill goes to the House of Representatives Wednesday 12/06/2017 for a vote. Then goes to the Senate. Then to the President for approval. I know he will sign it into law when it get's to his desk. It will allow people with carry permits to carry in all 50 states. Jerry

Will be nice to be able to carry in all 50 states but BEWARE.... 50 states, 50 sets of differing laws. You better know them or have bail money. Rest assured that NY, MA, CT and others will look to prosecute for the most minor of violation(s).

Why would you have to be overly concerned with explicit state laws if you are just traveling thru the states? Now using your gun yes. But I thought the prime goal of the law was to stop making travelers who carry, criminals. But to your point of needing to know each states laws, I think most of us stay on top of how asinine those that would be of major concern are anyway when traveling or visiting for any length of time.

The major distinction of State Laws is magazine capacity. A 'traveling' gun of 10 round capacity will comply with all state laws (except NY which may be 7). The other issue is New Jersey's ban on Hollow point ammunition. However, curiously enough, Hornady Critical Defense ammo is not considered HP ammo by the state of NJ.

The Nat'l Reciprocity bill may be co-joined by amendments to the Brady Bill to appease Democrats....if that is the case, there may be more issues here than just simply passing a long overdue law. Politics can muddy any clear waters anytime!

Tune into c-span right now for the discussion. I have concealed carry permit from Iowa. It allows me to carry my weapon in 38 States. I have to follow those states rules regarding carrying my gun. Why not allow me to carry in all states? All these mass shootings have one thing in common. They are all “No Guns allowed” Think if one person would have had a legal concealed carry firearm could have done to stop it.

Probably gonna happen, from what the media is reporting. (Hopefully not a "Fake" media report)...The sooner the better, in my opinion...:clapping:

Nah! Not fake news. Watched C-Span for 3 hrs. The debates and the votes. I can't believe that 14 Republicans voted against it. Trying to find out who voted what. Probably a couple of days before they post it.

For those of us who travel, it will make life easier. I did see a blurp that all NM Dem reps would not vote for the bill. They all voted for the bill in 2013.

Those are not Republicans. They are an example of how far left some have gone. Just being neutral is left of how I was raised and grew up. Neutral today is considered far right. It's disgusting.

I just got an E-Mail from our Iowa Senator, Joni K. Ernst. " As a staunch defender of our Second Amendment rights. I would like to update you on legislation I helped introduce in the U.S. Senate this week: The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.

As you know, law abiding Iowans have a long tradition of safely and responsibly exercising our Second Amendment rights, including the fundamental right to self-defense. With our nation's current patchwork of state and local firearms laws, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is a sensible solution to permit law-abiding citizens with legal concealed carry privileges to safely carry a concealed firearm across state lines, if certain conditions are met. I'm encouraged that, already, more than 30 Senators, including myself, have joined on to this legislation as cosponsors.

As your Senator, I will always defend the Second Amendment and will stand against efforts by the government to infringe on law abiding citizen's Constitutional rights. Joni K. Ernst.

Sounds like we're finally getting the ball rolling.

The last years session, the House voted it through. It sat in the Judiciary committee of the Senate where it stalled. So now there's a new Congress, and they have to start all over again. Now the House is Democratically controlled, So your guess is as good as mine whether it will ever pass out of the House again. The House just recently had a Anti-Gun bill come up, and several Moderate Democrat's voted with Republican's on the bill. Nancy Pelosi was very upset with it. I think Nancy's head exploded. Ha Ha. So, call your Representative's and Senator's. Tell them to vote for this Legislation. It's the "Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act". You can Google it to find out what it's about and who backs it. America need this law. Thanks Jerry.
