My Road King Project

The last 95 inch I did had small cams .508 lift, 9.5 compression and the heads were ported and flowed with stock valves and it had the old style Magnetti Marelli injection. And it made 101 hp and 112 ft lbs torque. These new heads will have large intakes and stock exhaust valves but it will end up at about 10-1. The cams I'm running in this bike are Woods 408-48 not much more lift than the last build but higher duration which will work good with the big valve heads. Hoping to have hp in the low teens.

I would assume you will be upgrading the cam tensioners? This started life as a 88 TC? My kid brother in Arizona has a Screaming Eagle 95 inch TC bagger. I rode it a few years back on the way to Sturgis. It had balls. The only downer on his build was the tech did not upgrade the useless factory spring loaded tensioner.

When I first got this bike the tensioners were shot so I replaced them, but didn't do the upgrade because I wasn't sure the cams I got would be the right ones. So the new cam plate and oil pump is on the list when I do the tear down. I have another set of cams I may install when I get the heads back and look at the flow chart.

Steve, years back when I did my 03 gear drive, I used Feuling plate & pump. over 100k on that bike when I sold it & never missed a beat. I have a couple throttle body's 500 miles on each with all sensors if you have a need for one. Not Magnetti Marelli. The good one.

Posse Rider I appreciate it but this bike is carbureted and I have a S&S with a Thunder Jet 3rd fuel circuit so I am pretty well set. With heads ,pistons and new cylinders I will have less than $1500 including gaskets, my buddy gave me the S&S I just had to put a rebuild kit in it.
