My wife is wanting to get these for my '09 Triglide. I kinda like the way they look also. So, my question is does anyone have these installed on their trike? Does it do anything about the heat? Make it worse or what? Looks like they may cut off some airflow there at the exhaust. I certainly don't want to spend a thousand bucks to make my ride hotter lol. Any other problems anyone know of. Thanks! :)

Good morning I triked my 09 ultra last sept. I used Motortrike and put the trog trax on. Granted I haven't rode on any hot days but when I have rode I haven't noticed and heat issues.

Each to what they like. I like the looks of the Lehman boards better. Not as much stuff hanging down. With those I don't think I could even get into my haul trailer.:Trike1:

I had to haul the trike to a bike show in February due to snow. I had no problem with clearance, last fall going into the driveway at work they had built a diversion burm to divert rain water and had no problem. So clearance hasn't been an issue.

I don't have a HD , but do have Champion running boards on my wing no heat issue just drag on any thing higher than a ant hill. So watch your ground cleance should you add them to your bike. Oh I do also have a 4.5 rake kit which does lower the bike.

Thanks guys, they all seem to be about the same but my wife likes the fog lamps and they way the running boards look. I just don't want to have hot legs. :)

You should have extended fork caps so the ride height can be set correctly!
The heat issue is much different on a HD than on a water cooled Wing. Even on the new Harleys, only the heads are water cooled.
Hot days and slow traffic means
HEAT, foot fairings or not on the Harleys! My solution on hot days was highway pegs to get my legs out in the air!!!! They were Kurys w/the curve mounting arms. I positioned them so my heels could be on the bikes floor boards, while the balls of my feet rested on the highway pegs or I could position my feet totally on the pegs. I usually took my lowers off in the summer but, that's not possible on the new Harley's with the radiators being mounted in the lowers!!!!
Dragonrider, pay no attention to my rambling above! If mama likes them, get them, if you know what I meanThumbUp
I actually would love to have one of the new Tri-Glides but, since GM's lies and my pension being half what I earned and no insurance anymore, that purchase is now way beyond my ability!!!
