Just picked up a Hex receiver 1932 Mosin-Nagant 91/30. Made in Izhevsk. What a sweet rifle. Barrel looks brand new, will take it to the range soon and give it a work out. I'm waiting to see that bayonet accuracy at 100yds, with or without.......

bought a 1943 one last fall love it and it has one heck of a kick. I tell you one thing those guys that carried those gun all the time were men there pretty dang heavy think around 9 1/2 pounds

Get a slip on rubber butt pad.
Makes shooting it a lot more fun.

IF you shoot surplus, try different bullet weights.
Different rifles may like different bullet weights.

Do not store in a dark closet. THEY MULTIPLY:laugh:

I don't shoot the Surplus I can get the newer stuff just as cheap and its not as hard on the gun

yes it is non-corrosive

you can find it a lot of places but here is just one if you have a wal-mart close but that sales ammo they keep some I have been shooting the
TulAmmo seem to work pretty good
