The problem with hitting a moose is, they are so tall, you cut their legs and the body falls into your car. The in pack doesn't kill you, it is the weight of the moose.
Another thing is they are so dark, you almost hit them before you realize there is a moose in the road, at night.
Years ago coming home from Canada on our bikes (not trikes), cars were slowing down pulling left, why, I said to mtself as we turn the corner, there was a huge bull, bigger than the one in the pictures above, and a cow, standing next to the guard rails. They looked like the Empire State Building, standing there. HUGE!
In NH, they have signs telling people to beware of moose and how many fatalities have happened.
