I've always heard you should avoid mixing differant tire types, but our TG has radials on the back and a bias ply tire on the front. What's up with that? Would there be any advantage to going to a radial on the front also?
There is no radial tire made to fit the front wheel. Dunlop has stated that they use a radial tread design on the bias ply tires they manufacture. In 45k miles I have not had a front tire loose traction.
For the last 12k miles I have been running my rear MU85 Dunlop in reverse and the tire looks almost new and the handling is great
