Well, actually me AND my wife Becky. We have a wonderful '99 Goldwing Trike with a Hanningan trailer and love it. We had even thought about selling it and moving up to a newer model 1800 but after some considerations are looking into improvements rather than change of ownership. Our trike has just about every option you could ask for and everything works and works well. Couple of things we are thinking about adding to our rig are (1) a Tom Simmons custom 'trike' seat with built-in backrest and (2) SPH10HD-FM-01 wireless Bluetooth helmet headsets.

The seat by tscustomseats.com appears to be a wonderful product. I have looked very hard and can't find bad reviews of his stuff. We are not wealthy so this is a HUGE expense for us to make especially on such an older trike. Add to that the Bluetooth headsets and we're talking a big investment for us.

I guess my question to this group is "Do you see anything wrong with the products we've discussed so far?" We are so looking forward to riding a lot this coming year and feel as though a comfortable seat and easy communications would only add to our riding pleasure.

As Bill O'Reilly would say ..... "What say you?"

Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

Congratulations to the both of you! Mine is a 2003 with CSC kit. It only had 16k miles on it when I got it a year ago. New to the trike scene so I'll differ comments on the options for others with more knowledge.

Been sitting on Tom Simmons seats for nearly 20 years and a few different bikes and now my trike..... wouldn't have it any other way!!! :pepper:

I always have had good communications with my wife on the trike. That is the only way to go.
I just bought a Russell day long and am so looking forward to putting some miles on it. I only chose it because they are closer to me. Maybe that is a silly reason but I had to have something to tilt the scales on one or the other.
As for Bill O'Reilly get yourself a satellite and enjoy him on the road. I actually like Billy.

Congratulations, from what I hear the seat is fantastic. I've been on Diamond seats for a few years and after the first one I've never thought about changing but if I was looking for something different that seat would be on top of my list.

i am curious on the blue tooth. I also would like a Bluetooth that would work well.

Thanks Chazzman. I am hoping they are that good. In all my conversations with Tom I must say he instills a certain amount of confidence in me. As to the blue tooth setup, we'll see. I have an older 1500 with no cables or headsets for the original stereo system and the cost of 'restoring' it would be as much or more as the blue tooth setup. I have had an auxiliary input installed by Sierra Motorcycle Electronics (great place by the way) to make use of my old ipod classic. (Are you starting to see a pattern here with the 'old') If I get the headsets from Sierra I think I have found a device that will plug in to the iPod speaker output connection and convert it to blue tooth wireless. With the new headsets I could also sync in to the garmin at the same time. The boys at Sierra are very confident in telling me how to make it all work so I'm ready.

Should be an interesting week AFTER Christmas this year and an even better riding season!!

I used the wireless sytem and went back to the wired it was easier to use .If you want to add something you both can enjoy get you a full set of windwings from windwings.net.
