New guy here. 1st post, seeing if this works.

A recent post about light flashing got me thinking. Driver beware.

Many new automobiles have lights on all the time. A bump in the road will appear as a flash, I have seen that. And almost pulled out in front of someone.

Population is not what it once was, many cultures and many new drivers, first time in an automobile.

I almost rear ended a truck, because of no brake lights, and no turn signal. Some regions, do not require inspections. Not everyone cares about others.

Trust yourself and stay alert.

Oh really? Having run 48 states and most of Canada I can tell you each state/province requires annual equipment inspections. Then there are scale house/ D.O.T and random roving inspections. You almost kissed the I.C. bumper of that truck because you were following too closely.

I don't see where he said it was a commercial truck. You are correct IF it was a comm. truck, but, if it wasn't your wrong. NOT all states require a safety inspection, for private vechicles.

California has no annual inspections. They haven't had one in the 52 years that I have lived here. The used to have aand inspections system that allowed the highway patrol to pull you over and inspect your vehicle and issue you a ticket if it failed. That happened to my wife back in 1971 even thou my car was registered in Virginia. My headlights were out of adjustment.

No inspection in Florida for non-commercial autos or motorcycles.
