2 days before my bike was due to be in a show my bike developed a major oil leak found a crack on the inner primary at the front/ bottom turns out the magnet came loose off the drain plug floated around till it made its way onto the chain then done a lap to the front bottom corner and punched the inner and made a break in the inner case this was on an 80 cube :xszpv:
I have never seen this happen before but makes me rethink having a magnetic drain plug now :gah:

I would never have guessed that the magnet would come loose. I hope you get her back on the road sooner rather than later!

Yikes, there's a real revelation of a good thing going very wrong. Definitely not doing the magnetic drain plug. Maybe it's one in a thousand, or a million, still not taking the chance. Thanks for heads up.

after you get it fixed use PFE paste on the threads when you install the new plug. plummers use it on pipe threads. also you din't have to torque it so much
