Calibration 41000481B

note: do not install on air cooled models. Do not install on those that have been raced tuned or have SE performance parts.

This is a response from a service manager I know

The update is intended for those that have the low idle and stalling

Some dealers may want to charge for this

Seems The MOCO does not yet see this important enough for a recall yet HMMMMM

Seems to me maybe this could fix some of the oil pump problems Also the heat

Since the M8 with the head oilers DOES help draw the heat away from the exhaust valve on the air cooled engines

Some dealers are sayin it is for the 114 only, guess the MOCO does not have enough GOOD info yet OR they are waiting for enough complaints?

I have my idle up to 925 now with the PV and it does stay consistent

What I'm talking about is to be able to raise the idle with out monkeying with ''Anything'' else...IE; Tuners or such and ''Not'' because of staling, Or not starting in gear like some are having problems with...Every one seems ''not'' to understand that...

You mess with the ECM without Harley's Ok....And if the engine should crap out while driving though Butt Crack Kentucky , Harley and the local dealer will red flag it... Normally i've never given a rap about warrantees...But the M8 Engine it too new to fly solo with...

I agree, I have set my idle up according to what my service manager advised, He made a note in the computer @ the service desk, he also said HD is doing some of the early runs as they come in to keep away from the oil pump problem go figure here we go again, they have an oil pump fix kit?
