Lost Rider

lost a close friend this past week Joe Wells. some of you older riders may have known him from the HOG rides. Met Joe in 04 in AZ on the western 48 state ride. for the next 20 yrs we got together . every year to ride cross country on the Posse Rides. also we did the very edge of the US, over 15,000 miles & 53 days. Our last ride was to NorthRim of the Grand Canyon by way of Zooks to have a rake kit installed. It never mattered where we were going, Joe was with us. when we got back from that ride,he said it may be his last cross country. sadly he was right. Went to his memorial and there were all kinds of pics of our rides together. we did many rides on our own. rt 66 Missi river road from Minn to La. Joe just turned 83. ride safe ol friend

Sorry for your loss Bill. But don't be sad, reflect on all those wonderful rides you just described that you and him took through the years and all the different roads you guys travelled down. I would say that is the best way to honor him.

I lost a riding buddy last year in an accident and I unfortunately know the feeling all too well well.

Riding and sharing the experience truly is a brother/sisterhood… and loss makes it even more so.
