No ... however I was over with riding the current model in 2010. I was ready for a new generation then. When I bought a new GL1500 (4th gen) in 1988, my jaw dropped when I rode it. The same happened when I bought a new 2004 GL1800 (5th gen). I'm sure my jaw will drop, again, when I finally get to ride a 6th gen.
