Well we took the new 2008 Champion/wing out for the first ride yesterday evening and made about 80 miles.

dislikes

(1) found one problem, really irritating rattle on the clutch lever side of the fairing where the windshiled goes into the plastic above the speaker. Sounds like a couple of screws bouncing around in a plastic cup. Any ideas there folks?

(2) really miss the floor boards of the Harleys I have. I have never been a big heal shifter, so the little shift lever was ok but I would really like floorboards if there is a good kit out there for that.

(3) kind of cheesy that there is no soft liner in the tourpack, looked on eBay and found a kit for $100. Any better deals out there than that?

(4) Wife said the Wing was a wind de er ride than the tri-glide. I guess the hand guards build into the Harley fairing and the lowers send more wind around the passenger than the gold wing set-up. (this was a surprise statement to me)

LIkes

(1) very smooth ride, better than the Harley across bumps.

(2) great sound system

(3) love all the front end light at night

(4) Driver seat a little more comfortable than the Tri-glide, same level says the wife on the back seat.

(5) Handlebar controls a little easier to use than the Harley.

(6) Should have been #1 COOLER than the Harley.

LIkes and dislikes at the same time.

(1) Quite, does not sound like a Harley

Question.

What does the 2 switches on the left lower leg pannel marked Memo1 & 2 control?

Things I am looking for right off the bat.
(1) driver floorboards
(2) some type of mount for our Garmin (auto model)
(3) windshild 2/3 section pouch like the Harley uses.
(4) tourpack liner
(5) little more rear end light and perhaps a chrome bumper
(6) dust cover
(7) Pull behind trailer

Don't know what you are driving . I assume it is a 2011 Goldwing don't know the kit ?? Floor boards and heal toe shifters are available . Try adding Baker wings or a taller windshield . (I suggest a +2 or +4 F4 windshield,) or both ...Rear bumpers are available for some kits. Mt for sure . All rear lights can be converted to running light s on the trunk. I think a ll your - can be corrected with a WEB search and $$$$$ . TRY Wing www.Wingstuff.com or Goldwing Motorcycle Parts and Accessories

Memo1&2 are for automatic presets on the preload spring on the OEM rear mono-shock.
Not applicable to that trike conversion.
1) driver floorboards
Suggest a conversion which has weight bearing foot fairings as an option.
(2) some type of mount for our Garmin (auto model)
Check RAM motorcycle mounts
(3) windshield 2/3 section pouch like the Harley uses.
Not gonna happen for a Wing! There's 2 covered compartments in the fairing and 2 more by the passenger back rest.
(4) tourpack liner
Best you can do here is a carpet floor insert
(5) little more rear end light and perhaps a chrome bumper
4 rear lamp isn't enough?
(6) dust cover
Google trike cover-there's a ton of 'em
(7) Pull behind trailer
refer to #6
Took the rider pegs off my Hannigan and extremely happy!

Congrad on the new Champion.
I have the Ram Mount on handle bar for Garmin
I have all Ultraguard cover, full, half and dust cover, also trailer cover.
Check out the Breeze Cargo Trailer.
