I found out soon after getting the trike that the helmet holders are usless. So I took mine off and made a small bracket and attached a LED light pod to it. This just gives me more lights on the back of the trike and I think it looks good too.
Does anyone else want to share what they have done????

I and a friend assemble LED's into accent lights for bikes and trikes, I have some displayed on my website at index and you can see the result of our work at MY Trike
by the way the only lighting on the green 2000se is from the led's installed.

If I can figure out how to post it???? Will try to get the wife to take a pictures, she is a lot better at it than I am.

Have a great weekend.

Jack do you have a kit or kits that does the whole GL-1800 trike? If so how much would it run? PM me if you want.

Steve...Just Mounted a HyperLites 8 led Brake Light as a "High 3Rd Brakelite" on my Trike and while the Reg Brake Lights just shine bright whan the Brake is applied, the High Lite continously Flashes (for attention...gotta get their mind off the Cell Phone somehow)...attached is pic of it mounted to the Cross Bar (behind the backrest pad)

Thanks, looks like a nice neat installation...
We do need to be seen as much as we can be....
I like the Hyper light, they are really bright.....

LOL...that we do! Had a guy pull up next to me about 20 mins ago and yell "hey, did you know you have a loose brake lite? It keeps blinking"! Ya gotta love that ;-)

RED "Florida Joe" LEDs on our 2011 H-D Trike

What Joe's Light kit did you use (if any) or did you just use a certain number of Pods? I love the way his Lites just explode with color...looks real good.

Thanks, we absolutely love Joe's LEDs, and we so easy to install. We used Joe's 180 LED kit. Ran long light strips under both sides of the gas tank, small strips under the air filter & horn cover, down the front front forks, and two medium strips on the undercarriage. We also have 10 H-D LED light pods (on a separate switch) along the rear/sides of the back of the Trike. Had bought the H-D ones first, but couldn't seem to get them placed where they highlighted the engine the way we wanted without them showing, so we moved them to the rear.....the combination of the 2 types of lights worked out great. We did not order the remote control....but will probably be calling back to get it :D

Very easy to install. I recommend using painter's tape to place them and check that they are shining on the chrome. When you are happy with the look, then peal off the paper backing and stick on. The Joe Florida LEDs are ribbon lights. They hide very nicely.

OK...everyone that's used Joe's LED's...have an Idea to create a Glow effect behind the rear wheels and wanted some feedback (pros and/or cons). I have a Motor Trike Kit on my Road Star and am thinking that a 30" Strip of Waterproof LED's can be used to "Edge"
the Drum Brake Backing Plate and produce a Glow that will be Visable thru the Chrome Rims...OK, lay it on me ;-)
